On Wednesday 11th March, some of our housing team will be joining you at the ISSBA quiz, so we thought we would take this opportunity to share a little about the service and how you may be able to help …
Our housing stock includes over 300 units of accommodation across Suffolk and Essex, from self-contained flats for individuals to larger shared homes that can serve a range of needs. These services are flexible and person-centred, supporting people at different stages on their housing journey - from crisis to independence. We offer:
- Short-term supported housing for adults to help them develop skills to maintain their homes and move on into long-term housing with confidence.
- Practical help and temporary beds for people experiencing homelessness, working to get them off the streets and into safe housing.
- Housing for people who are ready to live independently but face barriers in the private rental market — for example, due to benefit status or lack of a guarantor.
- A secure tenancy and tailored support for people who have struggled to sustain long-term accommodation.
- Safe, supported homes for adults affected by domestic abuse who cannot access traditional refuge services.
- Housing for refugees arriving in the UK under the Suffolk Refugee Resettlement Programme, bridging the gap between arrival and independent living.

We value partnerships with landlords who can provide housing that makes a real difference in people’s lives. Landlords working with us benefit from guaranteed rent, support with property maintenance and the knowledge that they are helping some of the most vulnerable members of the community into stable housing.
We would be grateful if you could spread the word and recommend us to landlords you may know across the region – We are currently on the lookout for 1 or 2 bedroom self-contained properties across Ipswich.
